What is FRC®?

The Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) system was developed by movement specialist, therapist, chiropractor, BJJ enthusiast Dr. Andreo Spina.

It's a mobility training system which applies scientific methods to the acquisition and maintenance of:

  1. Maximize your joint health and resiliency

  2. Recover and reduce your chances of past or current injuries

  3. Learn to fully control your body through articular strength and neurological exercises

  4. And close the gap between active and passive ranges of motion

What will I learn?

You, as the athlete, will learn:

  1. The difference between flexibility and mobility
  2. The use of Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) as an assessment tool for joint health
  3. How to create increased range of motion through progressive and regressive angular isometric loading (PAILs/RAILs)
  4. How to control these new ranges through end range drills, such as progressive and regressive angular loading (PALs/RALs), hovers, and end range rotational training

What's the timeline for this type of work?

This is completely up to you.  It depends on how often you schedule and how far we progress in our mobility session(s). We could be doing CARs and PAILs/RAILs for months until we start seeing some noticeable progress.  The Functional Range System is always evolving as new science is published. Things may change as time goes, like any type of movement training.

The Function Range Systems Flowchart (2019):

frc, functional range systems, movement, myotactics

For maximum scheduling flexibility, we offer stand alone 1-on-1 mobility training sessions with the option to add-on both our premium bodywork services, MyoThai and more mobility training.  All are offered in 30 min increments.
